As a Registered Massage Therapist, I prefer to be referred to as a Manual Therapist and Movement Practitioner. My approach integrates techniques such as Anatomy in Motion, McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release, and Movement and Manual Therapy to facilitate effortless and efficient movement. I identify biomechanical factors contributing to your symptoms, including stiffness, tension, discomfort, or pain. I assess the functionality and limitations of your joints, but your symptoms are not the sole focus. Before and after each treatment, I evaluate your resting posture and overall body movement. Your active participation in implementing prescribed movement solutions and drills is paramount. It significantly influences treatment outcomes. My interventions, coupled with your commitment, often lead to improved functional alignment, balance, mobility, performance, and overall quality of life.

Please note that you will be wearing athletic clothes (shorts and tank top) throughout the entire session.
These are the three treatment options that I offer:
AiM (Anatomy in Motion) is an investigative movement focused session where I analyze your resting posture, major joints of your body and gait(walking.) I would then relate this information to the reason why you came to see me. I will use manual therapy to assist with the process to alleviate stiffness, discomfort or pain while re-educating poor movements patterns. The customized movement solutions given for you to do at home will continue the changes made in the session.
Focused Manual Therapy is an outcome-based massage treatment session where we address your main concern and one or two areas that have been identified during the initial assessment. The appointment will involve manual therapy techniques and a home exercise program to continue the changes made in the session.
Scar Tissue Release Therapy is a manual therapy method of gentle finger tip pressure applied on surgical scar interventions, accidental trauma wound scars, scar tissue adhesions from a muscle tear, or conditions such as plantar fasciitis.
